The city of Dubai received one of its worst storms to date featuring heavy rainfall, submerging the city in a short period.
The matter went from bad to worse as one of the world’s busiest airports had runways flooded with water where flights were seen taking of and landing while sailing in the marina-like atmosphere.
The country’s infrastructure did not take long to collapse as Mother Nature took control of it all, leaving both locals and tourists stranded at home while many others trying to exit were also forced to face major difficulties.
Shocking video footage showed airplanes being transformed into seaplanes while sailing across the runways for takeoff or taxi, causing fear and anxiety amongst a long list of passengers.
Many described the rain as torrential with violent thunderstorms that brought forward apocalyptic scenes to Dubai and several other parts of the UAE where life came to a complete standstill after just a few hours of the drastic weather change.
Flooding became a norm as many flights were not only diverted but canceled, causing more difficulties for passengers at one of the world’s busiest airports. Meanwhile, other shocking footage showed luxury vehicles getting submerged inside deep water and wavers buffeting traffic as well.
