The United Kingdom’s most tattooed mom is making headlines after she was shunned by her own loved ones from attending her mother’s funeral.
The news has left her heartbroken and devastated as she feels that she shouldn’t be judged on how she looks but on the heart she has.
As it is, Melissa Sloan has found it hard to make a living for her daughter as she’s a single parent. And then the thoughts of being barred from entering public places like pubs, bars, and even holy places like churches has already made her so sad.
Struggling mentally daily, she explained during an interview how her own loved ones have turned against her and feel she’s not suitable to attend the funeral as her looks would take the attention away from the main purpose of mourners who happened to be present.
She explained how she’s often the victim of prejudice and being excluded from society. In the same way, her extreme appearance and more than 800 different tattoos that don’t leave a single inch of skin exposed have left people talking.
“This is my mother. I demand I be allowed to give her a final farewell. She may not have liked all the decisions I’ve made in life but deep down inside, she’s my mom and would forgive me”- the mother of one explained.
