Haunting reports are detailing more about how the effects of Mother Nature are making plane travel more dangerous.
Recently, a British Airways flight was hit by lightning while making its way to Heathrow Airport during the afternoon hours of Sunday.
Passengers who were aboard flight BA919 that left from Stuttgart in Germany to London’s Heathrow explained their shocked behavior after the weather drama unfolded.
This forced crews to divert the aircraft to Gatwick.
The flight reportedly left Germany at about 1 pm local time and was all set to land at Heathrow Airport at 1:40 pm.
Unfortunately, poor weather conditions caused the pilots to go back to Gatwick and that’s where passengers were seen arriving at about 2 pm before they were driven to Heathrow.
Passengers praised the crew including the pilot who remained calm and diverted the Gatwick to avoid any unfortunate incident.
More reports spoke about another flight being similarly struck by lighting. Thankfully, both flights did manage to land without any damage to the plane or passengers but others called it a very terrifying and stressful atmosphere to be in.
