A huge outage in Microsoft has resulted in massive chaos around the globe, bringing the world to a standstill.
From the grounding of lights to stopping trains and knocking hospitals and television channels as well- the world was massively impacted today by the ordeal.
The tech fault resulted in all Windows computers shutting down all of a sudden and that prompted to departure boards to switch off all of a sudden at the airport too.
From Gatwick and Heathrow to Edinburgh in the UK to the US, Germany, and beyond – many leading nations were impacted.
Services like the stock exchange, banks, GP surgeries, and more were also at a standstill as many sparked outrage over the incident.
The fact that the IT failure caused passengers to miss their flights and sleep on the floor at the world’s biggest and busiest terminals meant chaos.
Some airports were forced to do things manually like using whiteboards to inform passengers about their flight arrival and departure times and when they could board.
Shops were also impacted as most of them were forced to go cashless after digital checkouts stopped working. Meanwhile, in places like the US, service lines were out of order in places like Arizona, Ohio, New Hampshire, and even Minnesota.
