A body located in the sea has finally been identified.
According to reports from local media outlets, the cops confirmed how the remains belonged to a loving 14-year-old teen from the UK who had reportedly been missing for two weeks.
An urgent search operation was launched in that regard but it seems like it has finally come to a tragic end with these findings.
Daniel Halliday went missing after spending one day with his brother.
The siblings were reportedly seen jumping into the River Mersey which is present near Liverpool Bay when huge currents started to pull the teenager out towards the sea.
His older brother did his absolute best to save him but the force with which the water was running was just too strong.
During that time, the family ended up releasing a statement that emphasized how heartbroken they were to lose their close loved one.
This was outlined to be the worst fear for anyone, the family explained. They say that a tragic incident ended up taking their son forever and now they have to live with this guilt and pain and sorrow forever.
