Terrifying and tragic reports are coming from the University of Tampa where one woman revealed how her newborn baby’s body was found inside a giant garbage can inside a dorm bathroom.
More details revealed how the mother was a 19-year-old student who gave birth in the dorm and dumped the baby inside the dorm’s trashcan where it died.
The horrifying incident arose last week as confirmed by local media outlets speaking in detail about the matter. More details revealed how the child cried for nearly five seconds after it was delivered inside a shared bathroom on Saturday.
This was as per newly published court documents which delineated how the infant stopped crying when the mother tried to hold her close to the chest.
The student who took part in the crime is yet to be named but has been charged. She says the baby was laid down on a towel and efforts were made to see if there was any heartbeat. But when she didn’t feel one, she rinsed the child off, wrapped it inside a towel, and then opted to take a nap because that’s how exhausted she had become.
But it’s not quite clear what happened next. The infant’s remains were soon found in the trash can in McKay Hall which is a popular dorm used by first-year students. It was just before 7 pm on Sunday when the discovery was made. Now, investigators are working hard to figure out the cause of death and the baby’s developmental stage.
