Terrifying and shocking reports have involved another Boeing passenger that resulted in a huge flight scare for passengers recently.
According to reports from local media outlets, the airline lost its tire while attempting takeoff on the runway.
While the takeoff did end up being successful, it was harrowing for the pilots to learn that the front wheel was missing and therefore they would now have to make the most of this scary situation.
This is said to be the latest in a series of incidents that triggered a huge safety review of the carrier during the start of this year.
The United Flight 1001 was on its way from Los Angeles and was scheduled to arrive in Denver on Monday. But during the takeoff, the plane lost one of its wheels during departure from LAX at about 7:15 am.
While the plane did manage to make a safe touchdown at the Denver airport at 10 am, the company’s spokesperson was forced to provide more insights on the scary matter.
He confirmed that no injuries arose and that all 174 passengers and crew remained safe.
‘The wheel was recovered at the Los Angeles airport and the matter is currently under great scrutiny and investigation as to why this arose and what may have led to it’- the rep for the airline explained.
